1. Saying 'NO'
Many of us find saying 'NO' difficult. Whatever the reason, it's important we learn to say 'NO' when appropriate.
We can end up suffering from needless stress and feeling overwhelmed causing the body to tense up under the burden of all the demands placed upon us.
If you find yourself in such a situation, it is worth looking at ways of how to be assertive that work for YOU in saying ‘NO’. I highly recommend this as this worked really well for me last year!
It’s amazing how effective this is for releasing tension!

2. Exercise for Stress Release
Quite often I hear clients say they are far too stressed or can’t find the time to do exercise. However, exercise releases endorphins - the body’s ‘stress release’, ‘feel good hormones’ - in as little as 20 minutes a day. Exercise is the ‘DIY’ remedy that brings the body into BALANCE in a hectic world!
Regular exercise helps relieve stress and tension in the prevention of chronic headaches. Download the article from the website and check out the neck, back, and shoulder stretches to help relieve tension that can build up and cause trigger point headaches.
So, make EXERCISE one of your New Year’s resolutions and it could be a life changing experience in dealing with the STRESS and TENSION in your life this year!

3. Regular Massage
Obviously very close to my heart - massage plays an important role in dealing with stress and tension along with any other remedial bodywork for body awareness or injury.
Massage helps induce a relaxation response in your body. Relaxation causes your brain and nervous system to slow down and this in turn lowers the tension level of all the muscles in your body.
The wonderful thing about massage is that its effect on tension is near instantaneous. You can feel the tension leaving your body almost immediately.

Also, why not take advantage of 3-for-2 offer to experience the benefits of massage this year?

Offer Ends: 31 March 2010 Applicable to 30 mins sessions only.
